From my observation, it seems the they're too lazy to search for and hire better management. I was foretold about night management by an employee who resigned after 5 years within my first 2 weeks and he was right! Supposedly the higher-ups was supposed to replace the night manager but never did for some reason. Imagine being a new employee and witnessing seasoned employees in verbal disputes with the managers over their work practices & audacious disposition toward employees.
